In my opinion, the best source for Caregiver News and Events is The National Family Caregivers Association. It has a great newsletter called "Take Care! Self Care for the Family Caregiver" which provides "can-do advice, helpful resources, real-life Q&A, and stories about family caregivers like us". I got the newsletter for my mom and she found a lot of useful information.

The NFCA has been instrumental in making Congress aware of the issues that effect caregivers and on the site you'll find out what's going in terms of federal support programs which effect caregivers and their families. They're located on the web at www.nfcacares.org.
